Challenge

When Internos was first contacted by Pamela Tobin, a Firm Administrator at Sequor Law, a fraud and asset recovery firm specializing in overseas clients, they had been working with another managed service provider partner whose relationship with the firm had gotten old.

Although they were somewhat satisfied with the level of service, there were problems with the communication between their legal IT support partner and their company itself.

Sequor Law is a Miami-based international law firm representing financial institutions, sovereign governments and state-owned enterprises, public and non-public companies, insolvency practitioners, and individual clients in the areas of asset recovery, financial fraud, insolvency and financial services litigation.

Solution

“I interviewed six different companies, including Internos. We narrowed it down to three, and Internos was the only local company. After meeting with all of them, I really liked them. I thought that they were good guys, I liked the fact that they were local, and it was a good fit,” Tobin says.

In addition to providing managed services, Internos helped Sequor Law with a major data migration and other IT projects.

Internos’ legal IT support team swiftly orchestrated the migration of Sequor Law’s extensive legal data from the outdated servers of the previous provider to the new infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. This meticulous process took place over a single weekend, sparing Tobin and her team from undue stress.

“As a law firm, you can imagine we have a ton of data: client documents, confidential stuff, all of that. Internos came in on a Friday night and we migrated over the course of a weekend… I went home, I didn’t have to stay up until three in the morning, and by Sunday we were done,” Tobin recalls.

Outcome

Eight years later, the relationship has continued to grow and strengthen. Working with the Internos team enabled Sequor Law to grow without having to worry about their IT. It has saved the firm money, increased organizational cyber security and enabled them to communicate more effectively when IT issues arise. Internos also helped them review and improve their backup and disaster recovery plans to the same levels used by Microsoft solutions in the cloud.

Tobin emphasizes the strength of their relationship and the accessibility of Internos’ team. Beyond problem-solving, she appreciates Internos’ forward-thinking approach and willingness to address immediate concerns while strategizing for long-term solutions.

“What I really like about Internos is I have a great relationship with all of them,” Tobin says. “I think Richard, Jairo, Ronny and Jonathan (and the entire Internos team) are all terrific. What I love most about them is not only their accessibility, but also that if they might use a Band-Aid to fix an immediate problem, they know that the Band-Aid is temporary.
