Meet Jonathan
Who doesn’t dream of being able to take flight? When Jonathan Giraldo was a kid, he wanted to be a pilot and fly airplanes around the world. Flying up into the sky and soaring to new places just seemed like pure magic.
As he grew up, Jonathan’s career took him down a different path, but he never lost the desire to dream big and wonder what’s on the horizon. He attended Keiser University in Miami, and studied computer networking with emerging technologies. He may not have become a pilot, but he’s certainly never lost his curiosity for innovation and possibility. His career took him all over the map as a system engineer before finally landing at Internos.
As escalation and project engineer, Jonathan maximizes businesses’ potential through new technology. He takes on the management and implementation of technical documentation, encryption services, web traffic and platform migration, while also working with clients’ infrastructures and training junior engineers, among a slew of other software-based projects. His favorite part of the job may stem from his love of flight: By working with clients to implement new technology, he takes our company to new heights and peers into the future to see what we can do.
Jonathan took on his role at Internos after spending four years in Medellin, Colombia. There, he was an infrastructure analyst and consultant for companies like Bancolombia, EPM and Grupo Nutresa, just to name a few. The job was a bit of homecoming for him, too. He grew up in Rhode Island but lived in Medellin during his teenage years, thinking fondly of them as the best years of his life. Prior to working in Medellin, he was a network consultant for ReadyIT, which eventually became Internos in 2013.
Now that he’s back stateside, Jonathan lives in Miami with his wife and son. He loves to spend time with them, taking joy in the simple pleasures of life like going for evening walks, watching soccer and enjoying the company of his friends. On any given weekday, you might catch him at Flanigans for lunch: Ask him about his menu recommendations, he’s a regular! He still loves the feeling of taking off on an airplane and going somewhere new. If it were up to him, he’d board the next flight to Hawaii and treat his family to a dreamy, beachside vacation.
